Valley Heirlooms is a vintage rental company serving the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. We work with you to make your event unique and memorable. Whether you’re a bride, event planner, photographer, stylist, or set designer, we’re here to help add a vintage touch to your event, photo shoot, or display.

Our goal is to make adding vintage elements to your event affordable and easy. Searching for vintage decor at antique stores, flea markets, and garage sales can be time-consuming and expensive. Valley Heirlooms has a collection of vintage rental items ready for you at a fraction of the cost to buy these items.

What are vintage rentals?

We provide vintage furniture and décor for your event.  Our goal is to alleviate the time and burden of finding and reselling vintage items for one-time use.  Our heirlooms are unique, rustic, classic, shabby chic and maybe even eclectic details not found at your typical rental company.  Most of our items are one-of-a-kind, handpicked heirlooms that will provide your event with the vintage look you desire.  If you want to bring a unique aesthetic to your party, we are the rental company for you.  Let us help bring your vision to life.

How does the process work?

Take a look at our rental inventory and then send us an email at or give us a call at 540.234.0251 with your wish list.  We can set up a time to discuss your event and the items on your wish list via phone, email or in person.  Once you have decided which Valley Heirlooms you would like to reserve, we will provide you with a custom quote at no obligation.

If you like the idea of adding vintage style but are not quite sure what items you need or how to make it all work together, we are happy to meet for a complimentary consultation.  We will discuss your event, the location, and the feeling you want to achieve and, then, assemble ideas and options for you to review.  If you are working with a planner, stylist, florist, or photographer, we would love to collaborate.

How long is the rental period?

The rental rate for our Valley Heirlooms vintage rentals is based on one full day for the event itself.  We are happy to work with you for delivery or pick up the day before the event and retrieval or drop off the day after for returning items.

Where are you located?

Valley Heirlooms is located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley south of Harrisonburg.  We are available to meet by appointment.

What if I don’t see what I’m looking for?

Please contact us and let us know what you are searching for.  Chances are we may have it in our inventory but it just hasn’t made it onto our website yet.  We are constantly adding to our vintage rental items.  If we don’t have what you are looking for, we may know where to find it.  And we love the thrill of the hunt.

Do you offer an hourly rental?

Yes, we offer an hourly rate for those that need vintage items for just a few hours.  This is a great option for photographers.

I’m a little busy that day.  Do you deliver?

Yes, we deliver throughout western Virginia.  Depending on your event date and location, we can either provide same day delivery or we can provide delivery one day before your event and then pick up the day after.  With our delivery and retrieval service, you’ll have one less thing to worry about.  We will provide a delivery quote based on the items in your order and the distance from us to your event location.

How do I reserve vintage items from Valley Heirlooms?

In order to reserve our vintage furniture and décor for your event, we require a signed contract and a retainer payment of 50%.

When is the remaining balance due?

The remaining balance is due one week prior to your event.

Can I change my order?

Yes, if you have already paid your retainer, you can make changes to your order up to one week prior to your event.  You can always add to your order if the items are available.  If you want to make changes, the items must be of equal or greater value than the items that you are removing from your list.

Do you require a security deposit?

If the cost of the heirlooms you rent is more than $100, Valley Heirlooms requires a 25% security deposit due with your final payment one week prior to your event.  The deposit will be refunded within 10 days of successfully returning the vintage items to us free of loss or damage.

What happens if something breaks?

To be honest, breakage doesn’t happen that often.  We do understand that accidents happen.  We will try to repair the item if possible.  If the item is beyond repair and can no longer be used in our inventory, we will assess the value at three times the rental rate or the actual replacement cost.  Any repair, cleaning, or replacement costs will be deducted from your security deposit, if necessary.
